The Malaysia International Branding Showcase has been successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seven consecutive year since year 2004. The main objective of 8th Malaysia International Branding Showcase (IBS 2011) is to develop the recognition of brand name towards the domestic consumers and also promote our products to the consumers from other regions. EXHIBITION REVIEW

In the year 2010,the exhibition covers an area of 9,000 sq.m,with about 589 standard booths, the scale of this session reaches an increase of 5%. 471 enterprises from 8 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. The exhibition attracts 10,833 visitors from 26 countries and regions. According to incompletely statistics, exhibition site turnover is around USD 5,600 million (including intention turnover). The quality and internationalization of the exhibition improves remarkably, which combines the trade in import and export indeed, and carries out diversification of the function.

The full implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area which came into effect in January 2010 is creating the world’s third largest free trade bloc outside the European Union and the North American Free Trade Association. The new trade area offers a huge market of 1.9 billion people with trade worth around USD 4.5 trillion. China and six ASEAN member countries, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand are paying only 0.1% to 0.6% tariffs for trading auto and parts.The other four ASEAN members, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam will follow by 2015. Malaysia, as one of ASEAN’s three largest automotive markets is well placed to take advantage of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.
